"It’s already online?! This is the worst!"
"I disagree, it’s probably the best one I’ve drawn."

The group comes across a wizard of great scornful power at one point, whose name is Sadik.
Sadik plays a very important role as an antagonist (in case you can’t tell by how diabolical he looks). Like I mentioned before, designing a character is like talking to them. It helps me get a grasp of who they are and what shaped their being, allowing me a better glimpse into their appearance. Sadik is very sadistic and unpredictable, which makes me very uncomfortable to draw him. Not so much for difficulty in doing so. He just….really freaks me out. When I form a character around the strong emotions they give me, I hope that same emotion I feel from them emits onto the viewer. If it doesn’t, then I have failed as a character designer and an artist.

This is one of my favorite webcomics. I can’t get over the minimal yet complicated use of color to emit atmosphere and tone. It’s just done so well, I love the way the figures are drawn, everyone is so distinct from each other. It’s strangely nostalgic to me, despite not being from this time period it’s set in.
The story is also really engaging too. As vibrant as the characters.
